Drop in Session

Went well; about 21 individuals attended.

5

Website

Content required from last meeting largely fulfilled. On show at drop in session with favourable comments received.

LH to proceed with obtaining information on Environmental Data, advise as to costs so that this can be added to the grant ‘shopping list’.

WordPress

Lots of content added. Need to add a prototype section “Preston Neighbourhood Plan”, with headings so that as we come across content that will need to go in the eventual plan these notes can be inserted – will help with writing it later. [Perhaps mirror section headings from Questionnaire?]

  • Under Listed Buildings section, please add “Development in close proximity to Listed Buildings has to be mindful of listed buildings and respect the setting in which they sit. (provide list of Listed Buildings and Listing Status)”

Grant Application

It is becoming necessary to finalise the list and go forward with the first grant application. RR quantified via My Community that larger amounts need written quotes but smaller amounts can merely be listed.

Questionnaire

DD has been working hard on this and incorporated the amendments given. DD to send latest version to Steering Group and Preston Parish Councillors for amendments or suggestions for culling only (no additions please!): deadline for response 14/11.

DD

Agreed to have one ‘youth’ questionnaire (ages 10-15), doesn’t need to be long. Suggested question topics:

  • What village facilities do they use / value?
  • What facilities would you like in Preston?
  • What activities do you do outside the village and where?
  • Transport links
  • Village facilities open to you, do you know you can use: eg village hall, swimming club, recreation ground, footpaths [needs refining]

Need to minimise ‘open’ questions within main questionnaire and perhaps make a bit shorter, need suggestions from Becky. Eventual formatting into ‘print-ready’ should reduce number of pages.

RR/WS/ LH

Agreed we will accept Becky Lewis’s quote as we need to press ahead and get the questionnaire out; FH will email in the first instance copying in DD and Clerk, to be invoiced in stages and addressed to Parish Council so that VAT can be reclaimed.

RR to get printing quotes for 16 and 24 pages

Finalise questions and draft design by 21/11.
